Is Breakfast included in the room rate, and what can we expect?
Breakfast at the Kauai Country Inn is COMPLIMENTARY, which means it's not included in the room rate, but it's FREE to all guests who decide to join us in the morning.
Our FREE continental breakfast includes assorted muffins, croissants, bagels, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, boiled eggs, and seasonal organic fruit when available from our gardens. Proudly featuring freshly brewed Starbucks coffee & tea.

Monday - Friday: 8 AM until 9 AM
Saturday & Sunday: 9 AM until 10 AM


Our plane gets in late - how do we check in?
No problem about the late arrival. Make sure you bring the directions to the Kauai Country Inn B&B with you as we don't have a 24 front desk. Please print the directions from your reservation confirmation or type Kauai Country Inn into your Google search/GPS. Please check yourself in as late as you like, you don't have to arrive at the Kauai Country Inn at a set time. It's all about your convenience.


How do Check-in and Check-out work?
There is no paperwork to fill in at either check-in or check-out. We collect all necessary information from guests prior to arrival, including their personal information & credit card details. If you would like to use a different credit card, please step into our office at the Inn to provide us with those new details. At Check-out, each guest is emailed a copy of their invoice, which is accompanied by an electronic credit card receipt.


The Beatles Tour, how do we arrange that?
Beatles Museum Tours are held by appointment only. Mike, the owner of the collection, offers tours on Mondays and Fridays at 5 PM, by request only. Tours must be arranged at least 24 hours ahead of time, and you can call Mike at 808-822-5381 or email him.
Sorry, tours are open exclusively to guests of the Kauai Country Inn and are not open to the public.


Will we have daily Maid Service?
We clean the accommodations at the Kauai Country Inn each time at check in & check out, and if a guest is staying longer than 7 nights, the guest suite will be cleaned at regular intervals. Fresh towels & beach towels, and bed linens are changed as often as a guest requires. You can arrange this with the Inn office or breakfast staff. This allows us to keep the nightly rates as low as possible, and affords guests ample privacy without the daily knock on the door to vacate the suite for cleaning. Because our accommodations are large, each suite takes between 2-4 hours to clean thoroughly.
For guests who require an additional cleaning during their stay we offer this service with a $50 cleaning fee - please ask staff at breakfast to arrange.


Quick turndown service...
We offer a daily quick turndown service which includes making your bed(s) & taking your trash out. If you rather we don't enter your vacation suite please use the "Do not disturb" door hanger to let us know.


Why won't you accept Group Rentals, or Families with Small Children?
Sorry, but we don't accept group rentals, and children have to be 12 years or older to stay at the Kauai Country Inn. We try very hard to provide a calm and relaxing environment for all of our guests and both group rentals and small children can be noisy and disturbing to the rest of the guests.


Can we smoke at the Kauai Country Inn?
For the benefit of all guests, smoking INSIDE is NOT permitted at the Kauai Country Inn.
If you must smoke please smoke OUTSIDE, away from the house, where it will not disturb anyone.
A cleaning charge of $250 will be added to any suite that has to be deep cleaned to remove the odor of smoke from sheets, bed linen, pillows, carpets etc. Please don't smoke inside and help us make the experience of staying at the Kauai Country Inn a good one for all of our guests.


Do we need a Rental Car?
Kauai has been voted the most beautiful island in the world (actually it came in second only after the Galapagos Islands) and there are many sites that simply can not be seen without a car. Public transportation is poor, and if you are staying at the Kauai Country Inn you will definitely need a car to get to town - it's only a 10 minute drive, but a 4 mile walk... For those who are a little squirmish about driving in new places: Don't worry! It's very easy, we only have 60,000 residents and it's all small town driving. You may find that people annoy you by driving too slowly...not kidding!

Corporate Discount Code HI3949 in the Corporate field to get the better rates. Rental car pick-up and drop-off are at the Lihue Kauai Airport, a short 20 minute drive to and from the Kauai Country Inn.


How much is Parking?
We offer FREE parking on the property, and each suite is assigned a reserved parking space just for that suite. Please find the right parking spot for your suite.

If you have visitors during your stay with us please advise them that they must park on the top of the road and not occupy another suite's parking space at any time.

Why do you have a 60 Day Cancellation Policy? Most hotels just require a 24 - 48 hour notice.
We find it necessary to have such a strict cancellation policy because we are a very small establishment consisting of only 4 suites. We reserve and guarantee a certain accommodation sometimes for many months ahead of time, turning away other possible guests. It is nearly impossible for us to re-rent a cancelled reservation on a last minute basis, because about 99% of our reservations happen two to three months ahead of time over the internet. Rarely do we get a phone call from a traveler already on island looking for lodging. If you think you may have to cancel please let us know at least 60 days prior to your planed arrival to avoid cancellation charges.
Having said that, purchasing travel insurance is inexpensive and gives most people peace of mind.

How much Deposit do you require?
Accommodation: A Reservation Deposit of $100 is required to reserve your suite. Final payment is due at check out and the deposit will go towards your final bill.
Wedding/Lodging Packages: A Reservation Deposit of $500 is required to secure your wedding date and 7 night honeymoon stay. Final payment is due on your wedding date and the deposit will go towards your final bill.
